Produktbeschreibung
The complexity of information systems development is often handled by establishing rigorous processes. In order to increase the applicability of processes in projects, they often cover a wide range of functionality. The use in a specific project typically requires their instantiation (i.e. adaptation for a project). Apart from size and complexity it is made more complex by constraints which ensure that certain correctness criteria are followed e.g. compliance with industry standards. The current adaptation of processes is typically manual which is time consuming and error prone. Processes are therefore often minimally instantiated which hinders their effective application. This book identifies challenges in information systems development in large organisations and addresses them by developing a framework for improved instantiation and application of processes in projects. An overview of results adopted by Siemens AG are provided.
