Pulling out a horse's hair... What caught my attention, and what I told Maryam, were strange suicide incidents, in which what seemed to Maryam to be a "pattern" was repeated, indicating the presence of a mover, or a "creator" behind it, as she put it. I once saw a teenage girl kill herself while standing in a bathtub. She was crying as she did this, and looked in front of her in fear as if she were seeing a ghost. Another time, I saw a young woman, about the same age as the first, throwing her body in front of a speeding truck, looking ahead at the opposite sidewalk with wide eyes. An emaciated young man driving a fast car, he closes his eyes and the car swerves towards the trees and its side rubs against them. He closes his eyes and sticks his head out and it crashes into the trees and... my Lord... what happens? I know that the suicidal person is on the verge of collapse most of the time, and he cries fervently as he bids farewell to life, thinking that death is his only way out of his suffering. What Mary saw was consistent with these visions: the look of those she saw. Now it's time for a new hunt.
